At 28.6 lb this is the lightest chair in the range. It is meant for someone who travels and has to load the chair themselves — into a car, onto a train, into the baggage hold of a bus.

What it does well

A 360W brushless motor is quieter and needs less servicing than a brushed equivalent. The 10Ah battery lifts out, so it can be charged separately or carried in hand luggage where the operator allows it. Turning radius is about 0.8 m, tight enough for a domestic bathroom.

Safety and handling

Braking is automatic: release the joystick and the chair stops and holds. Five speed settings let you set a slow indoor pace and a quicker outdoor one. The seat surface is waterproof, which is worth having on a chair that spends time outside.
