Serianie’s long-range travel chair pairs a 25-mile battery with a 39 lb aluminum frame, which is an unusual combination — most chairs that go that far weigh half as much again.

What it does well

The 15Ah battery detaches for separate charging. Five speed settings top out at 5 mph, and the chair will take a 12° grade, so grass and compacted gravel are within its range as well as sidewalk.

Comfort

A 17 inch seat cushion, breathable backrest, flip-up armrests and a folding footrest. The flip-up armrests matter if you transfer sideways from a bed or a car seat rather than standing.

Safety and handling

Electromagnetic braking with anti-tilt rear support. The 360° joystick is responsive enough for indoor use at the lowest setting.
