Description
The heaviest-rated chair we stock, built for riders up to 350 lb and for ground that defeats a travel chair. Two 500W motors drive it up grades of 12°, and the iron frame is the reason it takes the load.
What it does well
Twin 12Ah batteries give a 15-mile working range, which is a full day of errands rather than a single trip. The joystick swaps to either side and the armrest height adjusts, so the chair can be set up for the rider rather than the other way round.
Safety and handling
Electromagnetic brakes hold the chair on a slope, and anti-tip wheels and a seat belt are standard. The double-layer seat cushion is breathable, and it lifts out for washing.
A note on the batteries
This model uses sealed lead-acid batteries, not lithium. They are heavier and slower to charge than lithium, and they are also cheaper to replace and cannot be restricted on the ground by an airline. If you fly often, one of our lithium chairs will suit you better.
